Job Summary:

Core Competencies

• Hands-on experience in Java, SQL, GoLang, and other modern programming languages.
• Proficient in using and developing with Snowflake, Hadoop, and other big data platforms.
• Deep understanding of data modeling techniques, including both dimensional and normalized schemas.
• Strong experience in query performance tuning and data manipulation best practices.
• Knowledgeable in Kafka and event-streaming architectures.
• Skilled at building and using comprehensive development toolsets aligned with industry standards.
• Capable of writing and reviewing detailed technical documentation and software specs.
• Comfortable working across Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery frameworks.
• Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Practical exposure to test-driven development and writing unit/integration tests.
• Excellent collaboration skills; works effectively with cross-functional teams, including internal and third-party stakeholders.
• Clear and effective oral and written communication abilities.
• Familiar with multiple data storage architectures and subsystems.
• Strong background in mentoring junior engineers and guiding them in code quality and best practices.
• Well-versed in software engineering standards, including version control, CI/CD, and peer code reviews.
• Adept at conducting technical research to evaluate new tools, libraries, or approaches.

• Lead the design and optimization of complex data models for scalable systems.
• Actively participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to development standards and quality benchmarks.
• Resolve advanced-level defects and technical blockers independently.
• Support junior developers through technical coaching, peer programming, and structured training.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, and QA teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Draft and assess detailed design documents for large or intricate components.
• Stay current with emerging technologies to drive innovation in design and delivery.
• Promote best practices in TDD, Agile ceremonies, and clean coding principles.
• Serve as a liaison between the development team and external partners to finalize implementation strategies.
• Act as a subject-matter expert in big data and storage systems, offering guidance during architectural decisions.
• Engage in various software development life cycle phases, adapting to project-specific needs.
• Proactively identify areas for system improvement and contribute ideas for innovation.
• Lead and support technical initiatives assigned by team management or senior leadership.
• Analyze business requirements to develop efficient, scalable software components.
